7.9  Image Processing - Formatting Images for Medical Illustrations

There are several considerations when submitting images to Medical Illustrations for slide production.

Slides require: Constr3.gif (1712 bytes)

  1. Dimensions of about 2" by 3" with some allowance for a margin
  2. Pixel resolution of about 630 dpi (dots per inch)
  3. Image mode of RGB (Red Green Blue) or gray scale with non extra channels or layers in either case.
  1. Image dimensions: the larger image side should be about 3" and the other should be no greater than 2". 
  2. Image resolution
  3. Color mode and balance.
